Fifty acres of rolling hills in the foothills of the Blue Ridge.
A small family winery and vineyard on the western edge of Rappahannock County. An hour and a half from the Beltway and a world away from it.
About
We have been growing grapes here since 1995.
Back when most people thought Virginia could not produce wines worth taking seriously. Three generations later, we are still proving them wrong. Everything is hand-crafted in small batches. Single vineyard. Aged anywhere from three months to four years, depending on what the wine asks for. We pour what we make, and we pour it on the porch with the mountains in front of you.

The Chapelle Charlemagne Vineyard is a real gem in VA's wine country. It has each of the three key ingredients that we all look for in a vineyard — great wine, a memorable setting, and friendly service.Peter D.
